There are a lot of businesses to start or franchises to buy. And deciding what business is a trick in itself. I would want to take the easiest and safest route possible. A business that it needed by everyone and would require little supervision. I think I will choose to start a water business. The problem with this industry it is so saturated and water station are almost at every corner now. But one thing that sides on my favor would be, I will be opening a shop at my mother’s place. Rental is manageable and there would be other people to help me out but the thing against it would be the “market”, it might not be the best water station location because the residential area is quite thin. However, residential area is not the only market, commercial is a better customer because of the volume it needs. If [...]

Ubiquity for Firefox is a sweet new program from Mozilla labs. But what I find even more awesome than Ubiquity itself is the first :45 of the video that introduces it.

SHAKE SHAKE… I SHAKE I SHAKE IT!11!!
“I hate that song.” I looked at Sharon, one of my friends at school, who was sitting in the backseat with her arms crossed, looking bored. “She’s like ‘I shake, shake, shake, shake I shake it!” Jenny sang. “She does it like this, I do it like that!” I added in, just to piss Sharon off. Because I like pissing people off. Haha, not really. The song is catchy, though.
The video makes me cringe. It’s really corny. All these people go into this auditorium kind of place and they start having a fucking dance off. THAT LOOKS FUN. The lead singer with twiggy arms goes around, and while people get pissed off at each other (they’re so mad they’re gonna have a fuckin’ dance off! OH… THAT’S SERIOUS…), he’s just standing there with his arms wide like “I’m going to pretend that you notice [...]
today I am 35 weeks pregnant. yea! I’ve made it this far! We broke the rules of bed rest and snuck out to the beach by our house and watched the sunset. It was so beautiful and so incredible to feel the breeze and smell the water…all the things I took advantage of until I was confined to the walls of my home almost 5 weeks ago. I had a very exciting day yesterday! nursing buddies came over and we ate and celebrated becoming nurses and my soon to be motherhood. We gossiped about who we thought was the only person who didnt pass the nclex in our class was. We laughed and they shared the joys of being a nurse…while I shared about the joys of being pregnant….you know…peeing every 15-20 minutes, crazing pretzels, ice cream, and V-8 veggie juice all at once and indulging in it until it [...]

The first bite is smoky. Only afterwards do I feel the tingling of spice on the tip of my tongue. This is chicken mole. I needed to cook tonight – a’ la Like Water for Chocolate. I wanted to blend all of my emotions, all of my passion, into my cooking; take it out of my bones and into the food. The house is hot tonight and the kitchen even hotter. The doors are open for a cross breeze and Sia is grooving on the CD player, loud enough for the neighbors to hear. The air fills with the earthy musky scent of cumin as I grind the seeds in the mortar and pestle. The chicken pieces and slivered onions fry in hot oil over the stove. I finely chop smoky chipotles in adobo, trying to carefully remove the seeds –the keepers of the most heat. I chop unsweetened chocolate [...]
Today was a better day for getting things done.
The funny thing is, yesterday I had an all day event scheduled, and I had kind of mentally mapped out everything I had to get done around that event. And then it got cancelled. So with an extra 6 or so hours in my schedule, the whole thing fell apart and nothing got done.
Today, everything except going to bed by midnight is a ticky box. And I have a good excuse for not going to bed by midnight — my Puzzle Pirates crew was actually out pillaging. I’d pretty much count that like having guests or being out, in which case, I still have 2 minutes to write this and get to bed.
On the other hand, I’m thinking of making ‘in bed by midnight’ not applicable to Friday and Saturday (and Sunday before holiday) nights anyway. It might be dangerous, in that [...]
Here’s a story that’s filled with salacious gossip, secret pregnancies and unproven sources. In other words, perfect for FameCrawler! There’s a rumor surfacing that Sarah Palin’s fifth child Trig, who was born in April, is actually the child of Palin’s 16-year-old daughter Bristol. According to sources, Sarah Palin’s announcement in early March that she was seven months pregnant came as a shock to those that had worked closely with her, since she did displayed no signs of pregnancy whatsoever during the previous seven months. Here are a couple of other pieces to this story:
- Palin does not appear to be pregnant in any photos taken during her pregnancy. Sources point mainly to the photo below, which was taken of Palin when she would have been almost 7 months pregnant. ….read rest of story here…
